Review:

Lucien is Death - literally. He collects and delivers souls to their final destinations.  He is scared, fierce, a man of few words, intelligent and merciless. He will do anything to protect his fellow Lords of the Underword.
Anay, goddess of Anarchy, after spending centuries locked in a prison for the dangerously powerful, she has escaped. After traveling a bit causing trouble, she stumbles upon a pack of warriors renowned for mischief and finds Lucien. At first, she plays it safe and watches him from afar, then raises the stakes. She decides to go after him with the intention of becoming his lover.
Their meeting is filled with lust and angst. But everything is thrown out of alignment when the gods demand that Lucien capture Anya and use whatever means necessary to gain access to a gift (a key) her father had given her.
Lucien is one of the best alpha characters I've read in awhile and Anya is his perfect match. I really enjoyed these two. Their banter was easy and their attraction believable. Their development as individuals and a couple was pronounced. I was thrilled when they overcame their obstacles and finally had an HEA.
This will be a book I'll read again!
