Review:

I'll start by stating that contemporary romance isn't really my cup of tea. I prefer paranormal and urban fantasy. However, I like to take a vacation and visit the contemporary realm and this book was great!

The bad boy, Evan, has decided to move back to his home town. For the last four years he has been caring for his son on his own. His wife, Rae, had past and being around family and friends would be best for him and his son.
The heroine, Charlie, had been best friends with Rae and is still grieving her passing. Charlie has had a crush on Evan for what seems like forever, but shoved it aside when Rae had expressed interest in him.
Their romance is rocky at first. Chariel has a difficult time moving on and letting go of her grief and guilt for having feelings for Evan. There were times when I wanted to slap her. She was a little too mopey dragged me down. Along with her doubts about herself. She really could use a heavy dose of self esteem. However, Evan was the perfect bad boy: sexy, honest, and incredibly alpha. He is confident and when he sees something he wants to goes for it. Charlie didn't stand a chance and I loved the romance between them.
If you love contemporary and enjoy a bad boy (who doesn't?!) then you will LOVE this book!
