All Ethan could do was blink down at her. Her response had been shocking, her anger baffling, and her hardened determination for justice —with a hint of revenge— was beautiful.

Ethan kissed her brow and said, “That last part…is the hottest thing I’ve ever heard.”

Fraya’s fingers gently skipped along the line of his jaw. Her hand slipped behind his nape as his arms folded around her, drawing her closer to him. She kissed his cheek and Ethan shuddered from the impact of her kindness. She had such a gentle soul and he cherished her warmth. Fraya was a treasure he knew he’d regret letting go, but he had to do what was right, his own heart be damned. Probably already is.

“Ethan,” she whispered, her soft breath caressed his neck as she continued to press kisses along his throat. “Take me to your room.”

He knew he should insist they not have sex again. It would only make the situation even more difficult.

His hands moved over her back. One slipped into her long, dark hair. The silken strands tickled his fingers. His other hand gripped her hip.

He had promised her a second round and he was a man of his word.

“Make love to me,” she crooned and he was a goner.

Ethan scooped her up into his arms and carried to his room. “Yes, little wolf. Whatever you wish.”

She growled and he growled back.~
