Question of the Week: What's your favorite way to beat the heat? With a light and humorous romance? A book set in the chilly north or maybe a Christmas in July special? Or is hotter better, do you crank up the heat with a sexy romance?

When I'm laying out at the beach or by the pool (beating the heat with a nice tropical drink in hand), I like to read an old favorite. I like to go back to my tried and true hero and heroines.

Question of the Week: If you could beta read for any author who would it be and why?

Ooo...How can I possibly choose...? Well, the question didn't say I had to pick one :) I would love to be a beta reader for J.R. Ward, Kresley Cole, and Sabrina Jeffries. Those ladies are AMAZING! Each one leaves me dieing to know what is going to happen next. Their characters are so vibrant and real.

Hmm...fun facts...

1. I don't know if this fun or interesting...but my husband and I met in fifth grade. Yep, we were 10. (We went to different middle schools and high schools but he remembered my phone number over the years and called me out of no where five years ago and here were are)

2. I love cooking and inventing new pasta dishes - I'm Italian, what can I say?

3. I'm obsessed with shoes and purses - something a got from my mom.

4. I walked down the ails at my wedding to the Godfather Love Song (and my husband wore my grandfathers fedora. Like I said, I'm a Italian...shrug)

5. And for my last fact, I do pole dancing for fitness & fun - it is the best workout ever!

Question of the week: Do you have a formula or outline that you follow while writing reviews?

I wouldn't say I have a formula or an outline for writing my reviews. I keep my reviews short, not wanting to give too much away. Generally, I say what I like and don't like about the main characters, address the plot, relationship between the characters, and world-building. Really, I write whatever comes to my mind, without going too into detail. My goal is to give my opinions and share my thoughts but I don't want to ruin the book for anyone. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.
Now, how do you write your reviews?

Question of the week: If you could only gift one book to someone which book would it be?

It really was torture trying to think ONE book, but I finally made my decision. I would gift Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde. This is a fun, YA, paranormal roller coaster ride and it was the very first vampire book I ever read (way back in middle school). Without this book, I don't know if I would have ever been drawn into the wonderful world of the paranormal or fallen madly in love (head over silhouettes) with vampires. That would have been down right sad! Not to mention, I may never have begun writing paranormal romance. So, Companions of the Night s my pick! (Got to love the dark, mysterious leading man, Ethan)

Question of the week: If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go for a 'readcation'?

Where would I go for a 'readcation'? Well, I've always wanted to go to Tahiti (hoping that is where my husband and I will go for one of our anniversary) I would love to just lay out on a beach, get my tan on, have a few drinks, and just relax with one good book after another - I might need a little mister to help when the heat of the sun and the heat books meet (wink wink). And, when I take a break from reading, do a little site seeing and spend time with the hubby, of course (smiles). So, where would you like to go for a 'readcation'?

I fell in love with reading WAY before I began writing reviews. There are a few authors that I just love and will read no matter what. I do like to share my thoughts and discuss the books I really enjoy. If I don't write a review, I will rate the books I read. There are also books I read over and over - favorites!

I'm currently reading The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark series) by Kresley Cole. I just started it last night and haven't gotten very far. What I've read thus far I enjoyed, then again I have never come across a Kresley Cole book I haven't liked. I've loved all her books and this one has had a great start! If you haven't read this series, you will should. The Immortals After Dark series is up there with the Dark Hunters and the BDB.

Where do I begin?! There are so many that remind me of my favorite characters (from my Rulers of Darkness series. Music is a huge inspiration.)

This song has influenced Dimitri, Gabriel, and Hadrian from the Rulers of Darkness series as well as a Mr. Deathly-Seductive that has yet to be named, who will be featured in an upcoming series.
I absolutely LOVE this song. I can feel the pain, the love, the need and it translates into my characters.
