Review:
I began reading this trilogy out of order. I started with book 3 - I had chosen it while I was waiting for an hour for my husband prescription to be filled, he recently had reconstructive knee surgery.
I loved the 3rd book, Never Love a Highlander.
Ewan McCabe is a widower and Laird of Clan McCabe. His seeks revenge on the man that slaughtered his family and left his people in ruin. 
Mairin needs protection from those that would use her to gain her sizable dowry.

Review:
Loved it! This is my second favorite novel within the Immortals After Dark series. This book was amazing and I didn't want to put it down.

I have always wanted to go to Fiji....problem is, my guy can't go out in the day time...Oh well, I can soak up some rays and get my tan on :-) Besides, there is plenty of time to get naughty at night (wink wink). I would take Rehvenge from Lover Avenged - J.R.Ward. He is just so damn scrumptious!




 

Teaser Tuesday

Today's teaser comes from my current read, In Bed with a Highlander by Maya Banks. I picked up the book and found this scene - it made me smile.

~ "She's daft," Arthur said.
Magnus nodded. "The poor laird. He must have been tricked. He's married a daft lass."
Mairin put her hands on her hips. "I am not daft!"
Arthur shook his head, a light of sympathy in his eyes. "Maybe daft is too strong a word. Addled. Aye, maybe a wee addled. Did you suffer an injury to your head recently?"
"Nay, I did not!"
"As a child then?" Magnus asked.
"I am in perfect command of my faculties," she snapped.
"Then why in God's name did you suggest we cut the mare in two?" Arthur demanded. "That's the most daft thing I've ever heard."
"It worked for King Solomon," she muttered.
"King Solomon order a horse cut in half?" Magnus asked in a confused voice.
"Who is King Solomon? He's not our king. I bet he's English. 'Twould be a very English thing to do," Arthur said.
Magnus nodded in agreement. "Aye, all English are daft." Then he turned to Mairin. "Be you English, lass?"
"Nay! Why on earth would you ask something like that?"
"Maybe she has some English blood," Arthur said. "'Twould explain things." ~

If you have not read the McCabe Trilogy by Maya banks, you should. It is a delightful series.

Review:

If you love werewolves, you should check out the Moon Chaser series. This is the 3rd within the series...As stated before, I have a problem with starting a series with book 1 - really should pay more attention when I purchase books.Anyway, this book captivated and held my interest and I didn't get confused, it flowed like a stand-alone book.

Review:
Hannah Howell is an amazing romance author. I've enjoyed every historical romance I have read of hers. This one was no exception.
Ms. Howell knows how to write characters. Her heroes are always brave, strong, hunks. While her leading ladies are stubborn and willful women that know their minds.

Historical 

I read the third within this trilogy before I realized it was a trilogy - I really need to pay more attention to the cover...I rarely begin a series with book one - I loved If you Deceive! So, I bought the first book. Really looking forward to it!

Paranormal

 Shocking to me - I actually began this series from book one and it was hot, hot, HOT! So, I'm going to check out #2 and give some support for a fellow self-published author.
