Soundtrack Inspiration

I've spent years working on the final version of Passion's Prey. Seriously, I've rewritten this book about 10 times. Just trying to make it perfect since Gregory and Amber deserve nothing less.
Here is a song that has helped while I outline and rearrange over 100,000 words.

Sexy Snippets

Today's sexy snippet comes from Passion's Prey
(release date to be announced)

~ Gregory left her lips and went to her ear, drawing his tongue around the rim and roughly nibbling the lobe, teasing her with his fags. Scorching waves of heat washed over her and pool between her thighs. She burned with need. Hot. Wet. Her thoughts dominated by desire, her body trembling with yearning
He brushed his index finger over her moistened lips, her chin and her throat. Tickling the sensitive flesh of the valley between her breasts, he continued. Down. Further. Over her flat belly. Her back bowed when his finger slipped over her clitoris and between her folds.

Gregory’s growl rocked her with pleasurable vibrations.

“You want me inside you, don’t you Amber? You crave me," he rasped, his voice gruff. Wolfish. The sensual, deep baritone sent shivers racing through her. She was ready to scream at him if he didn't bring her to climax soon.
"Yes," she said on a sigh as he pressed his tip to her core.
"Guide me in. Take me in."~

Review of Beauty Awakened

Beauty Awakened (Angels of the Dark, #2)
by Gena Showalter
3 of 5 Stars

Description
His name is Koldo. He is scarred, powerful, his control legendary-and he lives only for vengeance, determined to punish the angel who viciously removed his wings. But if he yields to the forces of hatred, he will be kicked from the heavens, eternally damned.

She is his last hope. Nicola Lane was born with a defective heart, yet this fragile human shows surprising strength as demons stalk her every move, determined to end her. She is the key to Koldo's deliverance...and his downfall. Though he fights duty, destiny and his first addictive taste of desire, his toughest battle will be the one for Nicola's life-even if he has to sacrifice his own....

Review
I love Gena Showalter’s Lords of the Underworld series and the Angels of the Dark series is a spin off.
I enjoyed Wicked Nights, the first book of the series, but the second, Beauty Awakened kind of lost me. Beauty Awakened started out strong but fell flat.

Vampire Mine (Love at Stake, #10)
by Kerrelyn Sparks
4.5 of 5 Stars

Description:

Nothing on earth can make this vampire fall in love . . .
After 499 years of existence, Connor Buchanan has arrived at an inescapable conclusion: he is a cold-hearted SOB. He's been watching his friends, those poor romantic fools, plummet off the cliff into love like a dazed herd of sheep. But not Connor. He knows that love leads to nothing but heartache.
Until Marielle . . .
She is an angel cast down from heaven for disobedience. Trapped in mortal form, she finds a protector in Connor, a Scottish vampire haunted by a dark past. Marielle hopes to heal his broken heart and earn her way back home, but suddenly she has these . . . feelings. This strange yet pleasant physical yearning for a vampire! Is this the work of a demon luring her into hell, or has this angel found heavenly bliss?

Review:

Scottish vampire, Connor Buchana, is not interested in love. he doesn't understand how his friends could possibly let such a sappy emotion take over their lives. He understands that it might be a callus attitude, but...whatever. He is hard, gruff, and is sexy as hell - I love the idea of a hot vampire wearing a kilt. (sigh)

Review of Kiss of Pride

Kiss of Pride (Deadly Angels
Amazon            B&N
by Sandra Hall
3 of 5 Stars

Some men are too bad to be true . . .
Is he really a Viking with a vampire's bite? An angel with the body of a thunder god? A lone wolf with love on his mind? Alexandra Kelly, his prey, thinks Vikar Sigurdsson is either flat-out crazy or he's trying to maneuver her into his bed—which is hardly where a professional reporter should conduct an interview, tempting as that prospect might be.
And some men are too good to be true . . .
Until Vikar does something a teensy bit unexpected, and Alex begins to wonder whether her mystery man could really be everything he says he is: a Viking Vampire Angel on a thousand-year-long mission with his pack of sinful brothers—and a man who's finally found the woman of his dreams. By then, Vikar is already wrapping his chiseled arms around Alex's body . . . and sinking his wicked fangs right into her neck. If this is sin, why does it feel so good?
(From Amazon)

Review:
Whoa. There is so much going on with this book/premise I don't really even know where to begin. The hero is a Viking turned vampire/angel by the archangel, Michael. These Vangels also have the ability to travel through time and is a SEAL from time to time...Yeah. Its a lot.

Review of The Ghost Hunter

Ghost Hunter by Lori Brighton
4 of 5 Stars

Description
When Ashley Hunter inherits the Inn where her father mysteriously vanished years ago, she jumps at the chance to finally uncover the truth about his disappearance. But soon after taking ownership of the decrepit building, Ashley realizes she’s in for far more than she bargained. Not only has she inherited answers to many sought-after questions, she’s also inherited spirits, demons and even fallen angels! Then Cristian arrives, a gorgeous man who insists he merely needs a room to rent. She believes him, until one by one her ghosts start disappearing...

As a fallen angel destined for a life of servitude, Cristian Lucius is relegated to protecting earth from unwanted spirits. But he can’t accomplish this daunting task alone. He requires assistance from the very woman who frustrates him as much as she intrigues him. Cristian is determined to ignore his intense attraction for Ashley, and focus on his mission. If they don’t work together, they won’t have a chance in hell of defeating the demon threatening their lives. The problem is getting Ashley to trust him. No easy task, considering Cristian is the very man responsible for her father’s disappearance.

Review:

Cristian Lucius is an angel who is literally fighting to earn his way back into Heaven and he needs the help of a Seer.
Ashley Hunter has just inherited her aunt's haunted pub. She can see ghosts, but denies her powers, but can't even attempt to deny she is attracted to Cristian.
I really enjoyed this book!
