Mary Balough is a new to me author and I think she is one of my new favorite historical romance writers.
Slightly Wicked is the second book within this series, which I did not know when I picked it up in the store. However, this book read as if it were a standalone, which I love.
This book had me hooked from the start.

Caressed by Shadows (Rulers of Darkness #4)
Work on Caressed by Shadows (Rulers of Darkness #4) is under way. I do not have a release date as of yet, since the book is still a work in progress. However, I do have the cover and I will be sharing it and a sale date in the coming months - be on the look out!
Caressed by Shadows has been a long time in the making for our hero and heroine. Falcon and Sonya have been denying/resisting their feelings for one another for 200 years - spending as much time a part as possible. Their romance is forbidden. According to vampire law, a Black Knight (Falcon) and a noble (Sonya) cannot have relations of any kind, for a knight is to protect and guard the nobles with their lives and conflicting interests can be fatal.
